Got a few minutes?

If your like me you don't have much time to just sit around and paint your nails. For some reason plain old nail polish takes forever to dry, and I no longer have 15 mins to sit around and wait for my nails to dry. So I saw a commercial for 60 second nail polish and thought yes I should definitely try that, and you know what? It's AWESOME it may not dry exactly in 60 seconds but I have both hands done in less than 5 and for anybody who doesn't have much time but want to paint your nails I would HIGHLY recommend investing in this nail polish! Today I put on the grey color, just cause I'm into grey right now and it looks great! My only dislike about this nail polish is that after a week and a half it starts to kinda wash away, but that's common for any nail polish.

It's Wednesday

I was raised in Oahu, (my daughter's name is Hawaiian) and sometimes I think back and truly miss those days. One thing I miss especially is the food! I am a big seafood lover and Hawaii is definitely the place to be if you love seafood. Lucky for me there is a Hawaiian restaurant near by and I indulged on my cravings and got some ahi poke ( like a salad). It's got raw tuna (ahi), onions, green onions, soy sauce and spices. Then I got some hawaiian sun to drink it all down.
Yummyyyyy

Matt's Birthday Dinner at Fujiyama's

Matt is one of my husbands best friends and he is also Leilani's godfather, and we went to celebrate his 22nd birthday at a habachi restuarant. Good times, good laughs, good drinks and good food!
he's the one with the umbrella

Korker Bows

So I have a new hobby I am currently into making Korker Bows for my little! I think she looks so adorable in them that I just can't help myself and I've just been making them. Plus their super easy to make!! So I thought I should share my new hobby :) These are the ones I have already made for her.

So how do you make a Korker bow?

Step 1-take 3/8 ribbon (heat the ends so they don't fray) wrap it around a wooden dowel and clip with clothspins
Step 2- Bake in oven at 275 degrees for 25 minutes ( line the bottom with tin foil so they don't get dirty)
Step 3- Cool and twist off ribbon then cut into 2 inch sections
Step 4- Line about 30 2-inch sections in a pattern or not whichever way you want to do it. Then stack them on a needle using embroidery thread tie till you think their sturdy
Step 5- hot glue to a clip and your done!

Simple as that!

Leilani loves her bows

Halfway Night box

It's that time again, time for the husband to go back out on deployment and so I had to get a Halfway night box ready. It's a box we give to the FRG people (the communication people between the boat and the spouses) and halfway thru the deployment the guys are given the boxes. Since he's on a GN submarine he's on a schedule 3 months out on deployment 3 months home. So I'm already used to this whole deployment game with my dad and he would be gone for like 9 months at a time on a surface ship. Anyway this is the box Leilani and I put together! We made him a countdown calendar with pictures I took of Leilani.

some pics I took of Leilani for the calendar :)
